2. Augmented Reality
With our Augmented Reality modules, mobile apps can use actual real
products to trigger innovative user experiences. For example, a user can hold up his phone
and point to a kitchen appliance which would immediately unlock digital
content related to that appliance such as instructional videos, specifications,
user reviews, and other content related to that appliance. This effectively turns the
AR experience into a personal shopping concierge that accompanies
the user throughout the store.
Another example is digital object placement. We can thus generate virtual sunglasses, place
them on the user's face, and allow side movements to allow the user to see it from various
perspectives. Or, we can also enable users to upload a picture of their living room, and start
decorating it with digital furniture, thus enabling the user to see what their room would
look like with the given furniture.
The AR modules provide significant value in themselves, augmenting the objects
users tag with additional information without losing sight of the original item. These modules
also feed into Tribal's BRM with information as to what items were most interesting and valuable
to the user, further adding to their profile information.
